Education Foundation Team
Vision - Jefferson County Education system will have an emphasis on life-long education focusing on academic excellence, workplace readiness, and cultural appreciation.
The following are the most recent activities:
- Developed a brochure along with the JCHS Digital Media class to promote the Jefferson County Community Scholarship.
- Working on securing additional funding for the scholarship program and other funding sources.
- Working on expanding the scholarship program to other two year institutions.
- The P-16 initiative continues to work on plans for gifted students and reading plans.
- Pursuing a 501c3 status for the Jefferson County Community Scholarship.
- Coordinating with tnAchieves, a Knoxville based organization focused on providing additional support resources and scholarship opportunities to Jefferson County High School graduates planning to further their education after high school. Click Here for more information on tnAchieves.
